A Ph.D. position is currently open at the Graz University of Technology in Investigation of the recrystallization behavior of Al alloys
using in situ methods in electron microscopy.
Concretely, it will be a position of University assistant for 4 years, 20 hours/week at the Institute of Electron Microscopy and Nanoanalysis, Graz University of Technology.
Content
Within the Ph.D. thesis, a comprehensive understanding of the recrystallization behavior of Al alloys shall be established. For this purpose, in situ heating experiments will be performed both in the scanning electron microscope (SEM) and in the transmission electron microscope (TEM). In addition, in situ backscattered electron diffraction (EBSD) will be used with the aim to establish a correlation between precipitation and recrystallization kinetics.
