As ESTEEM3 project is coming to an end, the project consortium invites you to its Final Infoday on Wednesday 31st May 2023, from 09:00 to 16:00 CEST at the Loft des Écluses, 159 Quai de Valmy, Paris or remotely via Teams. Register here!

All external participants interested in the Electron Microscopy are invited! It will be a great opportunity for you to discover our EU-funded project in the world of the Electron Microscopy!

We are excited to celebrate the significant achievements of the ESTEEM3 project and share with you the groundbreaking research and discoveries that have been made possible through this initiative.

The event will feature presentations from leading researchers in the field of electron microscopy and materials science, showcasing the cutting-edge microscopy techniques and sustainable materials that have been developed during the project.

About the event

The proceedings will commence with a welcome introduction from Peter A. van Aken, who will also share the main achievements of ESTEEM3. This will be followed by an extensive session featuring the Joint Research Activity (JRA) achievements, led by Angus Kirkland and other JRA participants.

After a short coffee break to recharge and network, we'll delve into the Networking Activities achievements of ESTEEM3, presented by Prof. Miran Ceh from JSI. Prof. Peter A. van Aken will then illuminate the Transnational Access achievements of ESTEEM3. An insightful roundtable discussion will follow, chaired by Dr. John Walmsley from UCA, on the topic of Transnational Access for industry in the context of EU grants.

Post lunch, the event will host several presentations from esteemed researchers, covering a wide range of topics. Among these, PhD. Piotr Woźniak from the Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research will present the HSMCO project. PhD. Elisa Zanchi from the Politecnico di Torino will discuss the CeramECS project. Dr. S.M. Collins from the University of Leeds will expound on the Lumi-Nano-LBP project. Finally, Dr. Sophia HOUARI will present on the FLUOTOOTH and MIHTOOTH project.

Following a second coffee break, the event will continue with Dr. Leander Michels, presenting the IS-SGI project from Elkem Silicon Products, in collaboration with UCAM. Prof. Rafal Dunin-Borkowski from Forschungszentrum Jülich will then discuss the 'Routes of Sustainability: eDREAM and ARIE'.

To conclude, Prof. Peter A. van Aken will share his insights, summarizing the day's proceedings, and leaving us with thoughts for the future of electron microscopy.
